The Glasshouse is widely regarded as one of Edinburgh’s top boutique hotels, with some spectacular views of the city from the rooftop garden.
The hotel is also popular as a meeting space, with a number of large and small event spaces available for private hire. The majority of these function as boardrooms and meeting rooms for corporate events, but they’re all flexible, blank canvas spaces suitable for all sorts of different event types.
The largest of these is The Calton Suite, a 120 sqm blank canvas event space, situated on the roof of The Glasshouse in the midst of the hotel’s roof garden. This spacious pavilion with panoramic glass windows looks out over the lush green lawns of the roof garden, as well as further out towards the Firth of Forth. With space for 100 standing guests inside, The Calton Suite is perfect for hosting anything from hybrid meetings and networking events, to birthday celebrations. The event can also use the lawn - barbecues and drinks parties are popular on the roof in the summer.
Inside the hotel you’ll find two smaller meeting rooms, The Boardroom and the Louis Stevenson & Walter Scott rooms, which are ideal for smaller corporate events and meetings. The former is The Glasshouse’s newest conferencing room, boasting state-of-the-art technology that includes a large plasma screen, high speed Wi-Fi and Hybrid Meeting Kit. The latter two rooms and luxury boardrooms, designed for comfort with executive leather chairs, and also equipped with similar high-spec tech to make meetings a breeze.
Or, if you’re planning a private dinner or similar, look into hiring The Brasserie - the hotel’s all-day restaurant - which is available for private hire daily from 1pm onwards. It’s ideal for everything from drinks receptions, private dinners, canape parties and everything in between.
