Rochford is a town in Essex bursting with history. For many centuries, Rochford was the centre of trade, and during the Tudor era, was a town that played a huge role in royal history. Rochford Hall is a manor house that was owned by the Boleyns from 1515. It is said that this was the very place Henry VIII set his eyes upon Anne Boleyn, his second wife. Whilst Anne is not remembered to have lived in Rochford, she would likely have visited from time to time. In the wider area surrounding the town you'll find the 18th century Dutch Cottage, and the site of a Norman castle at Rayleigh Mount.
