Looking for something a little bit different for your next event? Whether you're planning to entertain friends, family or colleagues, for a birthday, networking drinks or hen do, we've got a special spot that'll really stand out.
Eat Momo is a Nepali-style dumpling shop, nestled in Borough Yards next to the market and under the railway tracks. Its location is a dream, in walking distance to Borough Yards and London Bridge stations, you have the underground and National Rail at your fingertips, while the surrounding area is buzzy and vibrant, espeically perfect for guests who don't live in the area.
Eat Momo describe themselves as a 'no frills little canteen' - but we'd say, this restaurant is an incredibly cool concept, complete with modern style and authentic dishes. While the space likes to keep things simple, details like the huge ceilings and glass fronted facade, contemporary tables and eye-catching yellow seats, make this space pop.
But, of course, the main reason to book Eat Momo for your event is the food. You could start with some snacks to share, with smaller plates looking like Aalu ko Achar which is potato, cucumber, carrot, red onion, sesame and nigella seeds, or Dhungri ra Makai, which is chickpea flour chips with popcorn and butter.
Mains follow the same format: Nepali-style steamed dumplings served with tomato achar and chilli sauce, and available in either a full plate of 10 pieces or a half plate of five. There's four options, with two meat based and two vegetarian. You could go for the chicken Momo with chicken mince, garam masala and coriander leaves, or we like the sound of the paneer Momo with seasonal greens, carrot and paneer.
As for dessert, everyone gets a helping of Happy Endings ice cream sandwiches with three different sweet flavours to try.
