Found in the London Borough of Islington, Clerkenwell is known as an area for creatives. This is where you’ll find boundary bending bars and restaurants, along with design studios, and architectural firms. This is all great news for us, it means event venues in Clerkenwell really know what they’re doing. But Clerkenwell wasn’t always so modern and artsy. It’s Islington’s oldest business and residential district, and you can feel the history spilling out of Clerkenwell’s streets when walking around. There are many notable buildings and institutions here, including The Charles Dickens Museum, along with The Postal Museum and other popular attractions like Mail Rail and Sadler’s Wells. City University also calls Clerkenwell home, so there’s a solid student community too.
