Bar Crispin is a restaurant and wine bar on Kingly Street in Soho specialising in low-intervention wines, cocktails and seasonal sharing plates. It comes from the same team behind modern European restaurant Crispin in Spitalfields, albeit with a slightly heavier focus on drinks. This versatile central London venue is a mere five minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus station, and can be hired for everything from intimate private dinners to major standing receptions. Plus, thanks to a heated terrace out front, it’s a great option for those who’d like to add an alfresco element to their event.
Bar Crispin can be hired exclusively or in part for private events. For more intimate sit-down dinners, there is a private dining room (the Greenroom) which can hold up to 14 guests and offers a unique ambience that lives up to its name. Designed by Jermaine Gallacher, the space features hand-painted lights and emerald green walls which together cast an atmospheric green glow over the room.
The main restaurant can also be hired for larger events, with space for up to 50 standing or 30 seated guests. Depending on the style of event, the kitchen team (led by head chef Fabien Spagnolo) will work with you to create a bespoke seasonal menu using locally sourced ingredients, from sharing plates to canapes. For a sharing dinner, for example, you might expect to feast on the likes of burrata with crispy artichokes, slow-cooked lamb shanks with wine and parsley sauce, and a chocolate torte with crème fraiche.
Bar Crispin is also able to cater for external events, either in part or full, such as corporate dinners, celebratory parties, breakfast buffets and more. Its catering team Crispin Group Catering is available to hire for groups of between 20 and 200 guests, making it a suitable option for events large and small.
