Twist Connubio is a smart restaurant in Marylebone which takes its wine seriously. The restaurant also doubles up as an event venue available to hire for Christmas parties, as well as welcoming casual diners for other festive fun, such as pre-Christmas catch ups with friends.
The dining room here is a rustic-chic space that is well suited to winter events. The distressed wooden flooring and oak beams running along the ceiling make the venue feel warm and cosy, while candles and hanging pendant lamps bathe the space in soft lighting. For Christmas parties, groups can choose to hire the venue partially or in its entirety. The ground floor can welcome up to 30 guests for a sit-down meal or 35 for a standing reception, while the basement is able to accommodate the same amount - 30 seated or 35 standing. You can also plump for exclusive hire of the venue, which has a maximum capacity of 60 for a seated event or 70 for a standing drinks reception.
Twist Connubio also offers a special five-course festive menu during the Christmas season, which draws inspiration from the cuisines of Spain and Italy and has been designed to be enjoyed by parties of eight or more. The menu kicks off with a trio of starting snacks, including Valencian olives, padron peppers and jamon croquettes. Next up, tuck into various dishes such as fried courgette flowers with buffalo ricotta, mint and lime or roasted cod paired with aubergine, spring onions and anchovies.
To round off your festive meal, enjoy a seasonally appropriate dessert of chestnut creme brulee with vanilla ice cream.
