There's nowhere like Notting Hill at Christmas. Boutiques proudly showcase their Christmas windows, fairylights illuminate the famed Portobello Road, and The Walmer Castle is in full swing with eating, drinking and being merry.
This gorgeous pub is just the kind of place you'd want to spend the festive season. On the ground floor, the main dining area is hued a cosy, chocolate shade, complemented by a statement wooden bar and authentic fireplace. Come by any time to enjoy the warm atmosphere and Christmas menu, but if you're on the hunt for a totally private space for your friends, family or colleagues, there's two areas to take a look at.
First up, there's the Lonsdale Room, a large dining room with plenty of style and capacity. For a Christmas dinner booking there's space for 40 people, but if you'd like to take over the whole space for exclusive use, this increases to 50 people seated or 100 standing. Designed by Isabella Worsley, this space features shelves of rustic wine bottles, textured wallpaper and stunning artworks. Your guests will love its festive feel and cosy atmosphere, while appreciating the interior design's on-trend yet timeless concept.
Or, if a smaller space for an intimate supper is what you seek, take a look at the Westbourne Room on the second floor which has capacity for 20 people around its central table. With patterned Robert Kime wallpaper and a ginormous oil painting of a jelly by Florence Houston hanging beside the table, it's a space packed with artistic flair.
The team are so excited about Christmas they've already released the menu which boasts starters such as Wiltshire hamhock and chicken terrine with pistachio and cranberry sauce on toasted sourdough, followed by mains like roast Creedy Carver turkey crown served with pigs in blankets, chestnuts, cranberries, brussels sprouts, roast carrots, rosemary roast new potatoes and thyme jus.
