Frame is exactly the kind of place you dream of finding in Notting Hill. Atmospheric, cosy, independent and full of charm; if you're looking for a special little place for this year's Christmas gathering, the team at Frame are enthusiastic about hosting you - whether it be a get-together for friends or the work night out.
Frame offers a menu of modern European cuisine with a Spanish twist and is heavily influenced by the romance of old European cafes, crumbling buildings and Renaissance artworks. From the distressed walls and antique, window-style mirrors, to the huge gold frames and old-fashioned chandeliers, it's a little like stepping back in time but with plenty of style and flair.
While smaller groups are welcome to book a table in the main dining space, if you want to reserve your own private dining space, there are two options to choose from. Downstairs in the sultry basement up to 25 people can be hosted, while at the back of the property in the covered indoor garden, there's enough space for 12 people. Both areas are packed with ambience, boasting dark, moody colour schemes, fairy lights and lots of plants.
As for the food, expect an array of delicious sharing plats which are perfect enjoying in a group. To get things going there's mushroom and Manchego croquetas with aioli, alongside Greek olives and artisan breads with oil.
Then, we like the sound of the vegetarian plates such as seared tenderstem broccoli and almonds, as well as creamy burrata and Italian tomatoes with basil oil and basil cress, as well as seafood-based dishes like sea bream, mushroom and miso puree, tarragon and red amaranth. Carnivores will love the grilled chorizo on toast with piquillo sauce and rocket salad. Oh, and don't forget to enjoy some creamy Basque cheesecake with passionfruit sorbet and cinnamon nut crumble for afters!
