Chic Lebanese restaurant Akoya has nabbed the perfect spot in Notting Hill, right on the corner of Portobello and Lancaster Road. If you’re looking for a buzzy location for your Christmas party, or you just want somewhere nice for an easy-going festive lunch, Akoya in Notting Hill has you covered.
Inside you’ll find an elegant restaurant that includes a sizable dining room, as well as a rooftop garden terrace that overlooks Notting Hill. Don’t fret - the roof garden features a retractable glass roof and heaters so it’s more than suitable for Christmas dinners and parties. Downstairs features a kitsch combo of pale pink chairs and floral wallpaper, with colourful flower installations dotted around the space.
The pale pinks continue in Akoya’s Pink Room - a private dining room and hire space that fits up to 35 guests seated for dinner or 40 standing for a festive drinks party. Expect more in the way of patterned wallpaper and huge flower displays - the Pink Room is a striking space that’ll liven up any Christmas photos!
Meanwhile, Akoya’s food sticks to authentic Lebanese flavours, with a menu that encompasses everything from mezze dishes to grills, wraps, burgers, salads and more. All the skewers are grilled over charcoal whether it's marinated lamb meshwi, or a generous mixed grill with your choice of rice, bulgur wheat or chips. Save room for traditional desserts like honey cake, baklava and kunafa - a crunchy dessert of shredded phyllo pastry on top of sweet cheese and rosewater syrup. The restaurant offers bespoke packages to cover all sorts of events, including private Christmas parties in the Pink Room.
