The Landsdowne is a high end, Indian cuisine restaurant in Glasgow, offering diners a sophisticated space to enjoy some of the UK's favourite dishes. In 2019, the restaurant was refreshed and relaunched by the family-run, Mother India hospitality group, bringing a new feel to the menus and flair to the space, while retaining many of its original features such as the much-loved glasshouse - but more on that later!
If you're looking for somewhere to host this year's Christmas bash, whether it be for friends, family or colleagues, the team at The Landsdowne can't wait to welcome you. With modern decor and a gorgeous, open dining room the main restaurant can be totally taken over and host up to 60 people, while the bright conservatory at the rear of the property known at the Glasshouse is another special space, which you can speak to the team about using, too.
Instead of the usual turkey dinner (which we're sure you'll end up having at least once over the festive period!) why not try something a little different for you and your gang? The Landsdowne has an amazing menu of both Indian classics and Indian street food. For examle, for a group the smaller, street food plates are brilliant so why not try a mix of vegetable pakora, salt -n-pepper chicken, honey chilli cauliflower and kerala chilli king prawns.
For mains, there's options from the grill like malai chicken tikka, grilled lamb chops or a mixed grill, as well as typical biryanis such as king prawn and lamb. Personally, we love the sound of 'some old Glasgow favourites' with dishes like first class chicken curry and south Indian ginger lamb. There's also tonnes of sides from masala fries to garlic and coriander naan, to keep you nibbling.
And, it wouldn't quite be Christmas without a delicious cocktail or two, and don't worry, the mixologists here know what they're doing with an exquisite cocktail list of classics and signatures.
