Sunday in Brooklyn has crossed the Atlantic from New York to Notting Hill with this first international outpost from the American cafe and restaurant. Known for its inventive spin on American staples, playful cocktails and epic brunches (yes, we’re talking about ‘those’ pancakes), it's also a warm and welcoming spot to host celebratory events – and this year it’s geared up for a Christmas like no other. Split over two floors, the site on Westbourne Grove offers three distinct private event spaces for all types of occasion, whether you’re planning a festive dinner in its private dining room or a swish cocktail reception in the basement bar.
For those looking to enjoy a sophisticated Christmas with a small group of guests, its 160 sq ft private dining room provides a snug location for special celebrations. Boasting exposed brick walls, warm lighting and a mix of green banquet seating and sleek wooden chairs, this trendy spot is ideal for parties of between 16-20. The private area is separated from the main restaurant by concertina doors, which can easily be opened if you’d like to hire out the full dining room.
Downstairs lies its achingly cool basement, complete with a beautiful illuminated bar, hanging pot plants and more exposed red brick. Here, you can hire out the basement bar for both seated (45 guests) and standing events (50 guests). It also comes with lots of flexibility and facilities, including a DJ point, Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
Alternatively, it's possible to hire the entire basement for up to 75 standing, or 60 seated, a great option for large Christmas parties looking to celebrate the festive season in style. The space is able to accommodate multiple seating arrangements, too.
Finally, if you’re looking to throw a Christmas bash for the whole company, for example, there is a ‘full buyout’ (exclusive hire) option available. Book the entire multi-floor space for up to 200 guests for truly grand occasions.
