You could opt for a classic London pub for this year's Christmas celebrations, or you could do something a little different, and take your team, friends or family, to LPM Restaurant & Bar. Short for La Petite Maison, the LPM group already has restaurants in Dubai, Miami and Hong Kong, as well as many more, and draws on the undoubtedly gorgeous French Riviera for inspiration - across its atmosphere, food menu and curation of wines and cocktails.
The London site sits in a wonderfully quiet corner of Mayfair, within a quirky, triangle-shaped restaurant, just moments from the likes of Claridge's. The decor is as sophisticated as you would expect, with white tablecloths and beautiful china, marble accents and spanning walls, covered with artwork from 20th-century artists from the South of France. With a relaxed but special feel, it's perfect for coming together, eating, drinking and just having a great time with your favourite people.
As for the menu, think fresh plates of seasonal ingredients and plenty of seafood, plucked from the Côte d'Azur and the Ligurian coastline. Everything is brought out as soon as it's ready and so sharing plates work best, tasting as you go.
For example, across the smaller plates you might put together asparagus with confit shallots and goats cheese dressing, as well as cured sirloin with pickle dressing, and king crab and tomato tart. Then, medium plates include homemade pappardelle pasta with beef ragout and mushrooms, tiger prawns marinated with green chilli and coriander, as well as whole sea bream baked with Provençal herbs and lemon. Especially when eating with a larger group, you should also grab a few 'les grands plats' for the centre of the table. We like the sound of the bone-in rib eye with potato galette and Bordelaise sauce, which sounds perfect for sharing.
