We know it can be tricky organising the work Christmas party, especially if you're trying to plan something a little different. Well, how about treating the gang to a night in LA's Koreatown, but in the heart of Soho?
Korean Dinner Party is a concept-led restaurant in Kingly Court with a perfect location just off Carnaby Street, offering plenty of transport links and surrounding bars and clubs in case you want to keep the night going. Founded by foodie duo Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng who created TATA Eatery and TÓU, Korean Dinner Party also takes inspiration from Mexican, American and Japanese culture, offering a selection of menus with a street food twist.
While there isn't a private dining space or menu, the team is happy for you to get in touch and organise larger tables for seven people or more in the main dining space. Here, the interior design is a real show stopper, inspired by metropolitan restaurants in Seoul. It boasts distressed concrete walls, wooden panelling and colourful neon lighting spelling out Korean phrases, complemented by carefully curated art works.
As for the menus, there's a mix to choose from. Perhaps you could organise a bottomless brunch for the team which offers 90 minutes of bottomless prosecco topped up with JINRO Soju, served with two courses and a side. Then, there's the all day menu which brings together smaller bites like fried chicken nuggets with garlic cream, parmesan and tteokbokki, as well as Korean tacos with fillings like slow-cooked 48 hour beef short rib, pork neck or Korean fried cauliflower, served with cheese ranch, ssamjang, chili relish and Asian slaw.
Don't forget to try dessert, too, with soft serve milk ice cream, matcha green tea and a pocky stick, washed down with craft sake and kitschy cocktails.
