Have you been landed with organising this year's Christmas party? Well, if you're based in Birmingham, we've got a restaurant with private dining facilities that will really impress your boss. Harborne Kitchen opened back in 2016 and has since become one of Birmingham's most celebrated restaurants - a place to enjoy creative, high quality tasting menus, which offer a diverse breadth of flavours and techniques. On the ground floor, the main restaurant offers a smart, contemporary space to get together with friends, showcasing an open kitchen which brings a buzz and exciting sense of theatre.
But, if organising a private Christmas do, we'd recommend making the most of the restaurant's exclusive-use space, the Walter Smith Private Dining Room. The room gets its name from the building's former use as a well-loved butcher's shop which had been running since 1875. It remained a butcher's up until the opening of Harbourne Kitchen and the team are proud to share that Walter Smith's grandson, John, still visits and dines here today.
This special space has a capacity for 12 people and most impressively, has its own private kitchen. So, for one unforgettable night your group will be catered for by your own personal chef and host, able to talk you through each course and answer any questions. We think it will be unlike any other Christmas party you've experienced!
Each booking is bespoke, so you're welcome to talk to the team about dietary requirements or discuss dishes but if you'd like a taste of what's to come, check out the website's sample 10 course tasting menu. Here, plates like Devonshire crab arancini, as well as Lake District hogget with Wye Valley asparagus and wild garlic, show off what the chefs are capable of.
