Christmas parties can be tough to organise - everyone has different tastes and opinoins. But, few can argue with a five star, historic country house set in 600 acres of idyllic scenery, with a high quality menu of locally sourced produce.
Well, that's Crug Glas, owned by husband and wife team Perkin and Janet, this period home has existed in one form or another since the 12th century, today showcasing stunning Georgian architecture and having been the couple's family home for many years. Today, it's a luxurious nature-filled retreat with an in-house restarant, several private dining spaces and bespoke bedrooms.
In terms of hosting your festive shindig here, you're welcome to take over one of the private dining rooms, both ideal for intimate sit-down dinners. The first has a capacity of 12 people, while the second can accomodate 20 people. As well as these spaces, the drawing room has a lounge feel and its own bar, making it the perfect spot for drinks, canapes and mingling either for the whole evening, or before or after a meal.
If you're planning a really big 'do, though, ask the team about taking over the rustic, converted barn. This beautiful space is huge and has plenty of room for round tables for dinner, as well as a dance floor for throwing some shapes afterwards.
All party bookings will receive their own party planner, so you can chat through all of your thoughts with the team. In terms of staying over, you're welcome to book one of the five boutique bedrooms, stunning Coach House or The Cottage Suite. This way, everyone can enjoy a big breakfast together the next morning!
When it comes to food, all catering is provided in house and the kitchen team are proud to work with local farmers and growers for the best possible menus, highlighting sustainable, ethical ingredients.
