Have an 18th century-themed Christmas party at Town Hall Hotel

From 1 December, East London’s Town Hall Hotel will be taken over with an installation by the team at Dennis Severs’ House.

Bringing the 18th-century theme of the historic Spitalfields house to the hotel’s event spaces, the guys will be transforming rooms using traditional festive decorations, sounds of Victorian carol singing and candlelight to transport Christmas party guests back in time.

We like the sound of the menus: canapés like wild boar penny pies and Gentleman’s Relish ham sandwiches will be followed by Douglas Fir-roasted haunch of venison, and Indian gingerbread with rum custard and Smoking Bishop jelly. Drinks will be themed too such as gin-based English Blackthorn cocktails.
