The Museum of London will transport guests back in time this Christmas

It’s never too early to start planning the office Christmas party, and The Museum of London has just unveiled its Christmas party packages for 2019.

This year, The Museum of London will transport guests back in time with two package options celebrating the festive seasons of yesteryear. The first is a themed event celebrating the Frost Fairs of the 18th and 19th centuries, when Londoners could ice skate over the frozen surface of The Thames.

This experience will see the Museum decked out with elegant bunting, draping and Frost Fair-inspired imagery, to help guests immerse themselves in the spirit of 18th century London. Packages are available for exclusive parties of between 100 and 1,000 guests, starting from £72 + VAT per person. The Frost Fair package includes unlimited Prosecco or specially created Frost Fair cocktails, canapés, dinner, AV resources and the option to keep the party going until 1am (additional charges apply).

If you’d rather go on a sea-faring adventure with your colleagues, you can instead choose the Deck the Halls package, which is available for exclusive parties for between 100 and 1,800 guests and starts from £75+VAT per person. This option invites guests to channel their inner pirate at a maritime soiree, set against the backdrop of the River Thames.

If you choose to Deck the Halls, you’ll find the Grade I listed sugar warehouse dressed with a subtle nautical theme and hessian wrapped pillars. The package includes a cocktail or glass of sparkling wine on arrival, canapés, dinner and unlimited beer, house wine and soft drinks.

If you’re looking to organise a more low-key festive function, drinks receptions can take place in one of the venue’s many galleries, such as the No. 1 Warehouse gallery at the Museum of London Docklands and the People’s City Gallery at the Museum of London. There’s also the option of hiring themed actors to help set the scene and mingle with guests, for some added wow-factor.
