If the thought of a roast turkey dinner makes you want to go ‘bah, humbug’, then you should sleigh down to
30 Euston Square for a rather unconventional take on Christmas.
How do fish dogs, Yorkshire pudding burritos and mulled wine fruit compote sound? These are just some of the alterative dishes that will be served street-food style from stalls with chefs cooking in front of you. Mix and match your favourite plates while gulping it all down with festive-themed cocktails and sparkling wine.
Packages start at £95pp and include an all-night DJ, a dance floor to shake off those unwelcome Christmas calories, three hours of bottomless drinks (say welcome back to those calories) and festive decorations. Capacity is 230.
More of a traditionalist? Don’t worry, a classic option is available. A more formal sit-down meal in the State Room (with access to the refurbished Roof Terrace) will feature roast turkey and glazed parsnips (and the unbeatable Christmas pudding for dessert). Capacity is 160 with prices starting at £105pp.
Christmas can sometimes be tricky for vegetarians, but with menu options such as roasted butternut squash with a bark ham blue cheese mousse and a micro leaf, pomegranate and clementine vinaigrette, and a traditional nut roast with heritage potatoes, trimmings and a chestnut puree, you’re in safe hands.
Thank God for the night tube – 30 Euston Square is close to King’s Cross and Warren Street (both running through the night), but if anyone needs a bed for the night, the venue has 41 bedrooms to choose from.
