Fancy dissapearing from the streets of London and being transported to Italy for a night? That's what you'll get with a Christmas party at Cantinetta Antinori, an authentic Tuscan restaurant from two of Italy's most influential foodie families, sitting right in the heart of Knightsbridge. The original Cantinetta Antinori was opened by Niccolò Antinori, part of the wine conglomorate family, who began the traditional restaurant in their historical 15th-century Palazzo back in 1957.
Since then, their restaurants have gained popularity across Zurich, Moscow and Vienna, and now in London. Coming together with another prominent family in the industry, the Antinoris have joined forces with the Giraudis who have 32 restaurants already. Together, these Italian powerhouses deliver an authentic Tuscan experience in the heard of the UK capital.
If looking for a special place to host your Christmas party, you can be sure that with 26 generations worth of experience, the founders know where it's at when it comes to food and wine. Cantinetta Antinori London boasts a private dining room with space for up to 10 people. If you're interested in organising a special supper for your colleagues at Christmas, this is a perfect place to do it.
The private dining room is open for slots from 12-3pm, and then again from 6-10.30pm. The menu is all-day dining Italian style, which makes for a great alternative to the usual festive fare you get in the UK. Start with some anti pasti like burrata with baby plum tomatoes, toasted pine nuts and basil oil; alongside grilled white asparagus with 101 months aged Parmesan. Pasta courses come in the form of homemade buffalo ricotta gnocchi with clams and grey mullet 'bottarga'; and veal fillet escalope with lemon makes for a great secondi. For dessert, tuck in to the likes of almond chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream or a ricotta and citrus cheesecake.
