Tucked away in the heart of Canary Wharf, against the banks of South Dock Canal, Roe offers a unique, food-focused spot where you can host this year’s Christmas party. The latest site from the trio behind Fallow and FOWL, Roe embodies the same commitment to sustainability and minimal waste, perfect for those looking for a more eco-conscious venue for their celebrations.
Here, there are a couple of different options when it comes to celebrating. For those looking to be a part of the action, why not book a table in the expansive restaurant? Suitable for groups of up to 18, you can take a seat below the site’s famous 3D printed, coral-inspired tree, in this sprawling space with its floor-to-ceiling windows and plush seating. For those looking for an intimate spot, Roe’s ground floor Garden Room offers a private space for up to 26 guests. This contemporary spot offers a similarly unique backdrop, complete with marble walls, or-like light fixtures and its sustainable centrepiece - the aeroponic garden where an onsite gardener grows herbs and greens.
At Roe, you’ll find an extravagant Festive Feast menu, showcasing everything that there is to love about the team’s inventive gastronomy and exploring flavours of both land and sea. Dishes here are designed to be shared, starting with the likes of hashbrowns with caviar and pigs ‘n’ blankets with devil sauce, followed by cuttlefish fried toast with pork skin and sesame and devils on horseback skewers. Festive mains include turkey leg ballotine with chestnut stuffing, smoked bacon and apricot, or five bone short rib with a mushroom xo sauce. Finish your celebrations with black forest gateaux or caramelised banana parfait with peanut or toasted vanilla.
On the drinks front, you can expect a selection of cocktails, spirits, and an extensive list of wines. Be sure to ask the sommelier for expert wine pairings to accompany your Christmas feast.
