The venue is split across two floors: the main dining room on the ground floor can host up to 30 guests and features a variety of seating, from stools to tables and chairs, for more relaxed dining. Central to this space is its counter bar, which offers guests a glimpse into the inner workings of the kitchen. Venture downstairs to its basement dining room, a cosy, wine-centred space with an open kitchen that can hold up to 20 guests. Or, book both floors for 50 people for larger Christmas parties.
For groups of eight people or more, Baccala is also available for group dining if you’d like to book a section of the restaurant while still enjoying its buzzy atmosphere. There are three festive group menus to choose from, all of which are available with an optional wine pairing. For example, you might start with a selection of breads, followed by spicy seared tuna with tropea onion, bergamot and sardine fritter. Main course might be roasted monkfish with celeriac and mushrooms, while dessert includes almond milk panna cotta with tonka beans, lemon and pear.
On Christmas eve, Baccala is serving a special wine pairing tasting menu which features six courses of traditional Italian dishes.
