Bath is known the world-over for its iconic cream-toned stone and crescent-shaped streets, and so, can you imagine how beautiful it would be to get married in one? The Royal Crescent Hotel And Spa sits within a stunning, original Georgian crescent close to the heart of the city, spanning four function spaces, 45 bedrooms, gardens and grounds, across an 18th-century townhouse.
On the first floor you'll find the elegant The Sir Percy Blakeney Suite with capacity for between 30 and 40 people, seated or standing, with latte-coloured walls, period panelling and sash-adorned windows. This master suite is licensed for weddings or can be used as your reception space.
A similar size is The Sheridan room which is located on the lower ground floor with capacity for between 30 and 40 again, but with its own private courtyard, which makes for a lovely spot for welcome drinks for guests. For more intimate weddings, The Library is an atmospheric choice, with views of the gardens and boasting a selection of historic tomes in shelves across the walls. Here, you can host 12 people around a central table, 30 standing or 20 if planning on using this as your ceremony space.
However, for summer 'I Dos' many couples are swayed by the outdoors options. While the building itself is beyond beautiful, The Royal Crescent Hotel And Spa has its own private acre of garden at the back, which can be used for a marquee wedding with a capacity of up to 120. Or, opt for the Garden Villa, which is licensed for weddings, with a capacity of 90 people, and sits at the back of the property with views of the private gardens.
With three AA Rosettes, the team are also very proud of their in-house restaurant and also offer this as a slightly more casual wedding reception option, with capacity for between 70 to 100 people.
