Home to the Dukes of Richmond for over 300 years, this considerable estate boasts three separate venues, each suited to a different type of wedding. Packages are available that cover everything from pre-ceremony pampering to place cards. The site itself is the setting for a variety of whimsical events brimming with attendees dressed in the vintage ‘Goodwood look’. From afternoon tea to aeroplane lessons, this pinnacle of English estates really has it all.
The first of the lavish trio, Goodwood House is surrounded by stunning countryside and its opulent interiors are home to one of England’s finest art collections. A plethora of sumptuous rooms provides unique settings for every chapter of your special day, including the Egyptian dining room filled with gilded sphinxes and crocodiles and the grand ballroom which can house 180 for breakfast, 245 for the ceremony and 350 for a standing reception. The Hound Lodge offers 10 fabulous bedrooms and your very own butler and chef.
With a slightly smaller capacity (120, 120 and 150 for breakfast, ceremony and reception respectively), the Goodwood Hotel has a range of packages to suit your specific nuptial needs. This gateway to the estate offers 91 bedrooms and a range of spacious reception rooms.
Originally home to the third Duke of Richmond’s prize foxhounds, the Kennels is a much more relaxed and intimate setting, with a ceremony capacity of up to 32. This third and final venue can be booked in its entirety and comes with pre-wedding menu tasting and personalised table plans, menus and place cards for you and your guests.
