About Farbridge

Once an old dairy, Farbridge is a wedding venue in the heart of the South Downs National Park which has been beautifully restored to provide an idyllic location for your special day. With seven en-suite rooms on site, plus a private suite for the happy couple, guests don't have to worry about travelling once the ceremony is done.

For your ceremony, there are two different areas to choose from. Why not say 'I do' in the Meadow Barn? This option boasts a rustic yet chic charm that's bursting with natural light and is licensed for civil ceremonies. Let the character of the barn speak for itself or work your magic and use the space as a blank canvas to design in any way you want. Dreaming of an al fresco ceremony. Here, you have the option to say your vows in the courtyard against the sprawling backdrop of the South Downs.

A spanning lawn is excellent for those larger group shots with a secret garden tucked away for those first photos as a married couple. Access to these come as part of the package with a number of more unique, discoverable spots across the venue that can serve as dramatic settings for your photos - memories to be treasured for years to come.

As far as the food goes, you’ll get the chance to meet with the head chef and help to design your own bespoke menu. Plus, there’s no corkage fee for bringing your own drinks if you’re wanting to keep the costs down a little bit. The experienced team at Farbridge endeavour to make the day special, and support you every step of the way in the creation of your dream wedding.

Meadow Barn

Light-filled and atmospheric, with seating for up to 135, the Meadow Barn is licensed to hold civil marriages and partnerships. Beyond its doors are choices for where guests arrive and gather, for how you make your entrance and to what music – live or recorded, for which moment you reveal your table settings. It's the perfect backdrop to a magical day.

Main Barn

- The bright interior can take any design, or is beautiful just as it is. - Underfloor heating keeps it warm, thanks to our biomass boiler. - Seating for up to 150, with chairs and tables already here. - Sound system throughout, including the courtyard, with microphones for speeches and facilities for live music. - Soft uplighting.

Join Simon on a culinary adventure, where his passion and dedication to the art of cooking take centre stage. Emphasising vegetables, which often take a backseat to meat, Simon was keen to showcase just how flavourful they can be. Together, with a selection of less commonly consumed meats, he has crafted a menu that highlights the potential of locally sourced ingredients, many of which are grown on-site or sourced nearby. To enhance and preserve the natural flavours, Simon utilizes traditional methods such as pickling, fermenting, salting, and bottling, creating a dining experience that celebrates both the versatility and richness of each ingredient.

Where to start with leaving a review of Farbridge?! My husband(!) and I got married here in September and had the most perfect day. It's not surprising this beautiful venue, and the amazing team behind it, have won awards. It really is everything you hope for in a wedding venue, and more! Ells, our coordinator/event manager, was so friendly and professional - we couldn't have wished for a better person to help with the planning in the lead up to our special day. We always looked forward to our meetings with her and communication was brilliant right from the start. On the day itself, Ells and Imogen were amazing. They ensured everything flowed seamlessly and every little detail had been considered. The food... just WOW! It was absolutely delicious, thanks to Simon and his very talented team at Cuckoo Catering. We received so many compliments. Having the option to create our own bespoke menu with Simon was such a great experience. We honestly cannot recommend Farbridge enough and are so thankful to the entire team for making our wedding day so special. I cannot recommend Farbridge enough as a Wedding Venue! We fell in love with it the moment we saw it in 2019. I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in making our wedding day so special on the 3rd June 2023. Our day could not have gone more perfectly and this is down to the amazing team there. It’s difficult to put into words just how grateful we are. Everything was seamless from start to finish. We had absolutely nothing to stress about because we knew they had it all covered! The planning and execution on the day was impeccable. What can I say. Our day was everything and more, and we cannot thank you enough. Farbridge is a truly magical place and we could not of asked for anything more. We want to say thankyou to Grace for so swiftly sorting Moose . We want to thank the chefs, the food was amazing. We have had so many people saying the smoked beef and lamb was extraordinary and people have not stopped talking about it since. Even Chris's brother who works on superyachts as a chef has said the menu and food was spectacular so high praise indeed! We want to thank all the staff for looking after us so well, our guests commented on how well the food was served and how clean everything was kept. Drinks were always full and everyone had a lovely day. Finally, and most importantly we ant to thank you, Eleanor. I was completely stress free the whole day and that is down to you. Eleanor you had everything under control and you thought of things we had not. From the cake and tikka wraps in our room for us to enjoy after the wedding to having a drink ready straight after the ceremony. You are an amazing person. We can't quite believe how our wedding day went. It was honestly the best day of our lives, and everything went so smoothly thanks to your supreme organisation skills and calmness. I remember saying to Adam that night (albeit somewhat drunkenly) that I felt I'd savoured every moment and really enjoyed the day; however, it's somewhat hazy now! I think that might be the fact I had a champagne glass in my hand all day! The past four years have been incredible, and we have absolutely loved working alongside you, Imogen. Thank you for all of your patience with us (and tolerance of our many, many, many hugs). My favourite quote of the day may be when Adam hugged you for I think the fourth or fifth time and you said "oh, we're going again are we?" haha! Likewise...please don't be a stranger and if you're ever down our way please do let us know ?? Apologies again for our very long speeches! I swear mine was only 18 minutes when I practised it! We will definitely keep in touch and would love to come back for any events that may come up (if memory serves you sometimes do restaurant nights?) so we'll keep an eye for those. Imogen Boath

Senior Event Manager

Imogen has worked within the wedding industry since 2012 and has delivered many beautiful weddings at multiple venues across the South Coast before joining the Farbridge team in late 2018. She loves nothing more than building relationships with her couples and seeing the years of wedding planning come to life on the day. Known for her sweet tooth, you will often find Imogen in the pastry section of our Farbridge kitchen, sneaking in the occasional taste.

Ells Reynolds

Events & Marketing Manager

Ells started her journey at Farbridge in 2019 as part of the waiting team, whilst completing a degree in Marketing and Event Management. Since then, she has become a core member of the team, bringing her positivity and wealth of knowledge into all aspects of her work. Ells adores building strong connections with her couples and helping them make their plans a reality. In her spare time, Ells helps run a music charity for young people across the South Coast.

Grace Barrow

Events & Office Manager

Joining Farbridge in 2019, Grace brought with her six years of experience managing weddings and events across a variety of venues throughout Sussex and Hampshire. Grace enjoys developing relationships with her couples as well as the operational side of planning weddings. In her free time, nothing makes her happier than exploring the outdoors with her daughter and her dog, Trevor.

Eleanor Brown

Event Manager

Eleanor was delighted to join the Farbridge team in early 2022, bringing with her seven years of experience in events and hospitality across the South Coast. Eleanor thrives on building relationships with couples throughout their wedding journey and watching their big day unfold as planned. Outside of work, Eleanor loves spending time with her family and friends as well as reading and writing, having completed her Creative Writing degree in 2017.

Ellie Mayor

Event Manager

Ellie began her career in hospitality at the age of 16, whilst working towards her music degree. Since then, Ellie has gained experience across multiple different venues, organising fantastic events such as weddings and food and drink festivals. At Farbridge, she enjoys getting to know her couples throughout their wedding journey and watching their dream day become a reality.
