Congratulations on your engagement, we're so excited for you. Now you've got the ring, you'll undoubtedly be searching for somewhere to host your big day. If you're looking for a slightly more unusual spot to host your wedding, you'll want to check out The Friars, nestled in the beautiful Kentish countryside for a unique and historic setting. The Friars dates back to the 13th century, and whilst the building features some modern touches, including 17th century windows and a 1950s kitchen, it remains a true 13th century beauty.
On site you'll find Pilgrim's Hall, which was originally designed to provide shelter for pilgrims travelling to Canterbury for religious pilgrimage. Over the years, Pilgrims' Hall has served many purposes, from a barn, a brewery, a house, and even a Scouts group headquarters, before becoming the venue it is today, one where you can host your special day.
The Friars offers a plethora of lush greenery, so you'll be surrounded by 40 acres of beautiful surroundings on your big day, making it the most picture perfect setting for a romantic wedding. There are several packages on offer for your wedding, with one for the Pilgrims Hall and another for the North Barn which offers a twilight package. After your ceremony, you'll have the opportunity to take some stunning photographs in the courtyard and on the green of the estate.
Because the venue prides themselves on providing a flexible service, you will be delighted with the day of your dreams. From the moment you book your celebration, you'll have a team of event planners that will pay attention to your individual tastes and dreams as a couple, making sure that you are reassured and inspired through every step of the process.
