Stirk House is an award-winning hotel and wedding venue situated in Lancashire’s picturesque Ribble Valley. The venue has plenty of charm, and if only the walls could tell us the stories of Stirk House's rich history. Made using stonework from the former Sawley Abbey, dismantled a century earlier during Henry VIII’s dissolution of the monasteries, Stirk House has been something special from its very beginning. The ivy clad walls of this venue have stood for nearly 400 years, and the crackling fireplace and comforting hospitality have been welcoming guests since 1933. Here, you will find a wedding venue that has plenty of luxury, charm, with modern touches and comforts, all set in historic surroundings.
This gorgeous venue has enchanting views of the surrounding Ribble Valley countryside and Lancashire’s famous Pendle Hill, and your guests can enjoy strolling through the beautiful gardens, an ancient forest, and a nature trail. The house is set on 22 acres that make up the estate grounds and provide a range of unique and striking backdrops for your gorgeous wedding photographs. There is nothing quite like a 17th century manor house, full of character, when it comes to celebrating your special day. The gardens are dazzling with flowers in every colour scattered amongst the backdrop of a lusciously green lawn. Your guests will be able to stay in one of the 33 luxurious bedrooms, and enjoy the on-site restaurant.
Throughout your wedding planning you will have the help of a dedicated weddings team, who are on hand to offer support. Your guests will take their seats in the beautifully elegant conservatory, which is always flooded with natural light, and has a living wall of seasonally changing ivy. The gallery, on the other hand, can seat up to 113 people and has a neutral yet stunning backdrop that can be transformed into anything you like for your special day.
