A hospitality and relaxation venue that's 2,000 years old, the Roman Baths is a legendary location for your event. Steeped in history, it's certainly one of the most romantic places in the UK to tie the knot, and is suitable for both intimate and large weddings.
Ceremonies take place around the edge of the Great Bath, either before the museum opens or after it closes, perfect for a sunrise or sunset backdrop on your special day. This iconic setting can accomodate two to 160 guests, with the hot baths surrounded by original Roman paving for a truly unique location. Whether you’d prefer a secluded and private affair with just you and your spouse, or have always dreamed of a lavish event with all your family and friends, the Great Bath can cater to both.
From there, receptions are held in either the Pump Room or on the Terrace, both of which can be hired exclusively. The Pump Room, opened in 1795, is a grand space boasting a feature crystal chandelier in the centre, a stage for live music and a spacious dance floor. Up to 160 guests can enjoy a seated dinner, or for an evening party, 300 people can be easily accommodated. The Terrace, built by the Victorians to enjoy stunning views over the Great Bath, is ideal for smaller weddings of up to 80 guests. You and your party can then proceed into the Reception Hall, a gorgeous space with a high domed ceiling, for music and dancing.
Catering is provided by award-winning Searcys, offering elevated British cuisine along with an extensive Champagne and wine list. The dedicated Searcys team is on hand to assist in all the finer details, ensuring everything is taken care of from the cake stand to the table linen, so you and your partner can enjoy a carefree day knowing you are in good hands.
