The Roman Baths and Pump Rooms is a breathtaking venue with an iconic history dating back 2,000 years. Wow your guests with stunning views and the unique ambience of one of the oldest standing pieces of Roman architecture in the country. Suitable for a variety of events, this is an excellent venue for everything from corporate lunch meetings to lavish parties with outstanding food and wine.
Due to the museum, event hire options flex around its opening hours, with two small spaces available during the day, and full event hire in the evenings. If you’re after an intimate space with stunning décor for a private lunch or meeting, take a look at the Kingston Room and the Drawing Room. Both spaces boast views of Bath Abbey and Kingston Parade and can be laid out to accommodate 24 guests boardroom style, or 40 theatre style. After the museum closes, the party can start, and where better for a drinks reception than in the vicinity of the Great Bath, where guests can socialise on the historic paving illuminated by torchlight?
The Pump Room, a grand space opened in 1795 and featuring a large crystal chandelier, is available for up to 160 people for dinner and dancing. The venue is licensed to play music until 1am, and this room has a dedicated space for a live band. For smaller events, the Terrace, built in the Victorian era and overlooking the Great Bath, can host 80 people for a seated dinner. Guests can then proceed into the adjoining Reception Hall for music and dancing. Alternatively, opt for exclusive hire of the whole venue for up to 300 people for a drinks reception, and if you combine rooms, 300 for a seated dinner as well.
Catering is provided by Searcys and there is a variety of options including canapes, bowl food, buffets and three-course dinners. So, if you’d like bath-side canapes or a lavish gala dinner complete with a Champagne reception, the dedicated events team will help make that happen.
