Barbican is an area that you can find within the City of London. Not too big of a space, the Barbican is home to several residential towers and the Barbican Centre, which is a complex of theatres, halls, and entertainment facilities. Within the Barbican Centre, visitors will find The London Symphony Orchestra, and until 2002, the Royal Shakespeare Company also called this space home. Not too far from the Barbican, you'll find the Museum of London and Guildhall. Although Barbican has its own underground station, Liverpool Street Station isn't that far away, nor is Moorgate, so you’re well connected to the area by several modes of transport.
