The Prince Albert is a pub and wedding venue in Camden, North West London. It retains the dark wooden floors and large sash windows that were typical of Victorian taverns, and also features the distinct emerald green and cream external tiling of Charrington Brewery, which at one point was Britain’s largest. The pub is a short walk from Camden Road Overground station and Camden Town tube station, which is on the Northern Line.
Across two floors, two bars and a beer garden, The Prince Albert offers everything you could want from a pub wedding venue. As well as private hire of the full venue, you can also occupy just the first-floor function room. This is where ceremonies can take place, made possible by the pub’s civil ceremony licence. Couples taking this approach will need to organise their own registrar. The capacity for the first floor is 105 standing or 70 seated, meaning it can be adapted to suit everything from large ceremonies to an intimate gathering of close loved ones. It also has its bar, meaning it can host the wedding breakfast and reception. Food for the breakfast is also covered by the pub, who are equally as happy to facilitate those looking for something outside the traditional three course sit down meal.
Going down the private hire means you’ll have exclusive access to both the floor below and the beer garden. These are the perfect places to extend the party, with the garden especially useful for enjoying the warmer months. The ground floor holds 110 people standing or 50 seated. Dining here really helps reinforce the pub wedding feel, with the secondary bar it offers particularly useful for larger evening parties.
