Zizzi Cheshire Oaks

Part of the Coliseum Leisure Park, this Zizzi is the perfect place to spend the afternoon after some shopping or having spent the morning either bowling or jumping at the trampoline park. Serving up Italian food with a fun and modern twist, you can enjoy everything this menu has to offer while being surrounded by the Alice in Wonderland-themed décor running throughout the restaurant.

On the menu, you’ll find some exciting dishes such as the rainbow gnocchi filled with oozy mozzarella or the Spiedini Pescatore – a hanging skewer of fish and vegetables served with herby potatoes and a baby gem salad. These may not be the first things that come to mind when you think of Italian cuisine, but these dishes make for an exciting addition to your meal.

If the thought of visiting an Italian restaurant and not ordering pizza or pasta is too shocking for you to even consider, Zizzi has that base (get it?) covered too. Try its skinny pizzas if you’re watching what you eat, or if your motto is the bigger the better, the pizza rustica has a bigger and crispier base to fit more toppings onto it. When it comes to pasta, the beef brisket and venison tagliatelle is an indulgent treat, and for the vegetarians among us, spaghetti Pomodoro is a classic you can’t go wrong in picking.

On the drinks menu, you’ll find a selection of sparkling cocktails like the raspberry and Prosecco mojito and an Aperol Spritz, as well as lots of flavoured G&Ts to choose from. If you aren’t big on drinking, the soft drinks menu offers lots of exciting lemonades and coolers too.
Lastly, and in our opinion most importantly, onto dessert. The Prosecco panna cotta will get you suitably buzzed and the chocolate and banana calzone is a sweet take on the savoury dish that is definitely worth giving a try.

Whatever reason you decide to visit, Zizzi is bound to have something to satisfy your Italian craving without offering up just the bog standard options the UK has become so accustomed to.
