A Victorian Steampunk makeover has given this one-time boozer and former leather goods wholesaler’s a new lease of life – the listed wall tiles are now a joy to behold. The beer offer is similarly notable, with a dozen draughts poured at the copper-topped island bar: try Ink Stout and Gentleman’s Wit (both from Camden) or Old Dominion Double D (from the USA); otherwise, dip into the fantastic, worldwide range of bottled brews. A cute patio garden and a downstairs cocktail lounge serving experimental old fashioneds, martinis and margaritas are further reasons to investigate this appealing East End revival.
