Franze & Evans originally opened in 2008, setting up shop in Shoreditch, East London. Today, the small, family run café has two other locations in London and Tokyo.
The menu is centered around British-Italian cuisine and offers a variety of breakfast and brunch options, as well as delicious salads and bespoke cakes. The quality of ingredients is really important to Franze & Evans, and the relaxed atmosphere makes it the ideal place to meet up with colleagues or friends.
In the week, you can choose from a plethora of brunch options, whether you fancy something classic like the house granola or the signature breakfast, or something a bit different such as cannoli pancakes served with orange ricotta cream and berry compote.
For lunch, there are a variety of dishes to choose from including buttermilk chicken waffles, carbonara, and melanzane alla Parmigiana. There is also a daily offer of arancini, a daily quiche and a daily salad which changes. There are a variety of sides to choose from, including truffle and parmesan fries, and there are many options to bulk out your brunch with, including braised borlotti beans, as well as halal sausages and turkey rashes.
On the weekend, you can treat yourself to a veggie brunch or a tri-colore royal which combines all the best bits of eggs benedict and eggs royale. There are a number of coffees and chai lattes to choose from as well as soft drinks, including a lemon and mint ice tea, and smoothies.
If you’re looking for an alcoholic drink, there are several cocktails available including classics such as a Bloody Mary or a Mimosa. However, if you’re feeling more daring you could go for a Bacon Bloody Mary or a Blueberry and Lime Margarita.
