There's nothing quite like the refined elegance of a Parisian bistro, and visiting Wee Paree will transport you to the cobbled streets of France with its bustling, beautiful atmosphere and French offerings. Although Wee Paree has only been open since 2020, there is a really old school, classic feel to the environment as soon as you walk through the doors.
A French brunch is served from 10am, and begins with a series of egg options. Choose from eggs florentine, royale or Benedict and kick start your day the right way. It wouldn't be a French bistro without crepes on the menu, and Wee Paree has choices of Nutella with strawberry and banana, pistachio cream with strawberries and fresh nuts, and honey roast ham with spinach, cheddar and bechamel. Baked omelettes are served with salads, and include flavour options of hot smoked salmon with sliced avocado, and paprika and black pepper chicken with bell peppers and red onion. True French cuisine lovers will enjoy the croque madame and perhaps upgrade it with an add on of haggis, for a Scottish twist. French toast is always going to be popular, because of its fluffy, buttery taste, and Wee Paree has several choices for you to pick from, including vanilla mascarpone with mixed berries, coulis and shortbread, and wild mushrooms with spinach and poached eggs.
The evening menu begins with small plates of scallops in a pomegranate sauce with cucumber, and meatballs in a tomato and basil sauce. Big plates have a mix of British favourites and French classics, including moules frites in mariniere sauce, a tasty goats cheese salad with pear and walnut, and beef burger stacked with raclette, salad, pickles and burger sauce.
