It is rare to go anywhere these days without seeing at least one Wagamama, and if you’re a fan of the Japanese food chain, then you’ll be happy to hear, that even in the small town of Horsham you will find, you guessed it a Wagamama.
With lots of variations on its two most popular dishes, the ramen and the katsu curry, as well as some other exciting dishes on the menu to choose from, you’ll never get bored of this high-street restaurant. Before you tuck into your main meal, order a few sides to get you started. Go for the steamed or fried gyoza, duck lettuce wraps or ebi katsu crispy fried prawns or order all three, they are great for sharing after all.
When it comes to bigger dishes, there is no shortage of noodle or rice dishes to pick from. The yaki soba with chicken and prawns or the grilled duck donburi are worth giving a try. If it’s something warm and hearty you are after however, you really can’t go wrong with a ramen. Try the miso cod, kare burosu, tofu ramen or chilli prawn and kimchee. With so many variations it makes sense that you would go for a ramen dish. Accompany your meal with something of the drinks menu like a Japanese beer, sake or freshly squeezed juice in a range of flavours including carrot, blueberry spice and tropical juice.
To finish off your meal, go for something off the dessert menu. By combining Asian flavours with desserts everyone knows and loves you end up with the likes of, white chocolate and matcha cheesecake, mango and matcha layer cake and salted caramel cheesecake with a wasabi biscuit base. Wagamama may not be known for its dessert menu but that definitely doesn’t mean you should dismiss it.
