In a city centre, finding somewhere to eat can often be daunting. With so many places to choose from you don’t want to make the wrong choice. Thankfully when it comes to Wagamama, you can’t really go wrong, so knowing that there is one in almost every town and centre in the UK is certainly a comforting thought.
Known mostly for its ramens and katsu curries, everyone tends to have one dish they always opt for at Wagamama. However if you feel like branching out a little, there are lots of exciting dishes to keep things interesting. Try the teriyaki chicken donburi if you’re after something simple, or if you want something a little heartier but don’t want to go for your usual ramen, the prawn raisukaree with a mild coconut and citrus curry sauce, lots of veg and white rice is a good option to go for.
To accompany your meal, side dishes of fried chilli squid, bang bang cauliflower and beef tataki are good for sharing but equally great alongside your dish to enjoy by yourself. If you want to try a range of these smaller plates however, the best thing to do is share them with whoever you are dining with.
On the drinks menu, there is an extensive choice of beers, sake and freshly squeezed juices to accompany your pan-Asian feast. Whether you are on a health kick or feel like letting lose a little there is something on the drinks menu to suit everyone.
It also now caters to various dietary requirements meaning that if you are vegan or gluten intolerant, there are still dishes you can enjoy without having to worry. For vegans there are variations on the classic katsu curry that include seitan replacing the chicken or sweet potato and aubergine. For the gluten intolerant people the chicken, or yasai itame are the dishes to go for.
