True to its name, this spirited and contemporary Italian restaurant aims to ‘celebrate life’ as well as the native cuisine of its owners’ homeland. Inside, all is open-plan with polished wooden floors, pillars, lush greenery, a striking curved bar and Venetian blinds masking the arched windows, while the long menu covers most bases. Pasta is always a sound bet, with a choice ranging from spag bol or penne all’arrabiatta to seafood linguine or tagliatelle with salmon, spinach and pawns in tomato sauce; otherwise, order one of the pizzas, try roast rump of lamb with Mediterranean vegetables or tackle a plate of calf’s liver with spring onion mash, crispy bacon and red wine sauce. Specially devised children’s menus are a boon for families, and the international wine list includes some good-value Italian bottles. Handily placed for Harrogate’s Conference Centre.
