Incredibly overpriced wine tasting session with sherry glass offerings:
I booked the trip to Sicily wine tasting session for my partner as a little mid month treat. The setting is quaint and in a prime location in the city of Chester. The lady who served us was also lovely, very friendly and knowledgable when explaining the different wines to us.
That said, what we received for £70 was pretty substandard, a shared platter of a few slices of prosciutto and salami as well as some smoked cheese, and 5 small Sherry glasses of wine each which when you add it together added up to no more than three quarters of a bottle of wine. We were also offered tiramisu which was nice and a sip of dessert wine, but again the desserts were served in cups that were no larger than a GU dessert. Suffice it to say I came away from the experience underwhelmed and disappointed, not for me, Corks out is a far better idea with the option to savour and taste many more wines from enomatic wine dispensers at your own leisure.
