Twenty Eight is a British tapas restaurant found in the heart of Cheshire. Brought to you from the teams behind Chef’s Table and Growing @ Field 28, Twenty Eight is all about seed to plate cuisine, with homegrown ingredients that are pesticide and biocide-free.
A favourite amongst locals, Twenty Eight offers slick, stylish interiors, welcoming guests with its neutral and sen-drenched spaces. Floor-to-ceiling windows ensure that the main restaurant is always flooded with light, whilst plush-leather booths and seating, and Scandi-style tables make for an idyllic backdrop for some casual dining.
Menus are ever-changing, allowing the restaurant to craft their plates around Field 28’s daily produce harvest, but the menus invite diners to pick and choose, split into snacks, meat and fish, sharers, and veggie options. Each dish has been deftly crafted, and artfully plated, and yet an evening here is sure to be affordable, with great value options and daily deals. For lunch, you can expect to find plates such as honey and soy mackerel with sweet and sour cabbage, tartare-style bavette steak with truffle and parmesan crisps, or sumac cauliflower with caramelised onion.
On the dinner menu, why not begin with options such as baked sourdough with marmite butter and cauliflower and Old Winchester croquettes topped with reggiano. Moving on to the main event, explore a selection of small plates including salmon pastrami on rye bread with pickled fennel, crispy pork terrine with tarragon BBQ sauce and Kentucky fried artichokes with confit garlic aioli and a honey drizzle. When it comes to dessert, end your meal with a rather indulgent section which sees the likes of dark chocolate tart with creme fraiche or sour cherry compote with sweet ricotta and a caramelised crumb topping.
Twenty Eight caters to all kinds of dietary requirements with vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options hitting the menus.
