Marygreen Manor is where you’ll find the 2 AA Rosette Tudor’s Restaurant, an impressive Baronial Hall based in the sixteenth century Tudor Manor House, serving some of the county's finest food, complemented by a comprehensive award winning wine list. Throughout the day, a full lounge menu is available, along with a classic afternoon tea, an a la carte menu, chef's tasting menu and the menu du jour.
The a la carte menu begins with an amuse-bouche, compliments of the executive head chef, followed by a starter, perhaps the spicy mussels with aubergine, beetroot puree, onion and tomato sauce, or the beef cannelloni with brunoise vegetables and a vegetable stew. The main dishes range from duck with braised red cabbage, fondant potatoes, baby carrots, a carrot puree, mashed broccoli and honey jus, and the guinea fowl with bok choy, sweet potato puree, baby onion, saffron potato, sun blushed tomato and cauliflower. On the side, you can try some minted new potatoes, mashed or sauteed potatoes, chunky chips or French fries, minted peas, cauliflower cheese, sauteed leeks or mixed vegetables. Next up is a complimentary pre dessert, followed by a selection of desserts that includes a baked Alaska with cherry ripple ice cream and flamed meringue, the chocolate cheesecake dome with passion fruit jelly and raspberry sorbet, and Madagascan vanilla pear parfait with an apple and vanilla compote, crushed meringue and butterscotch sauce.
The brasserie menu contains dishes of ham hock balls with sweet potato puree, spinach and caramelised onion and a chicory salad with beetroot, Romanesco, blue cheese, mangetout, tomato and balsamic dressing. Other dishes include the potato gnocchi with broccoli, spinach, creamy pink tomato sauce, basil and parmesan cheese, and for dessert, a delicious blackberry parfait with meringue crumble and blackberry sauce.
