The Store is a luxury hotel with dining in the heart of Oxford. Here, aside from the 101 rooms, you'll find a destination restaurant and rooftop bar, that are the perfect choice to unwind after a busy day. Treadwell is The Store's untraditionally British restaurant, which plays with locally, sustainably sourced produce and creates diverse, varied plates. Whilst it remains incredibly British, it'll be unlike anything you've ever seen before. Breakfast is served week long, as is lunch and dinner. Brunch is only available on Saturdays, and a roast is served for a few hours on a Sunday.
Starters at Treadwell include the chargrilled English asparagus with hazelnut romesco and burnt chilli whipped feta, along with the pulled brisket and Ogleshield croquettes with chimichurri. Other options include the steamed mussels with garlic and thyme cream, Taleggio cheese and toasted sourdough, and the gruyere and courgette double baked souffle with a three cheese sauce. Pastas and salads are a great way to enjoy a slightly lighter meal that is still packed with flavour. Choose the slow cooked lamb shoulder ragu with tagliatelle, mint and lemon gremolata and pecorino shavings, or the laverstock farm buffalo burrata salad made with baby gem, cucumber, pickled red onion, radish and green goddess dressing.
There are some traditional mains with a twist, such as the Ruby Murray chicken pie with gunpowder new potatoes and makhani jus, and the ale battered fish and chips with mint and lime crushed peas and chip shop curry sauce. If you're staying for dessert, try the Old Fashioned inspired sticky toffee pudding with Woodford whiskey sauce and ginger ice cream, or the honey glazed spotted dick pain perdu with honeyed anglaise sauce.
