Tipple Bar in Ainsdale is a bar and restaurant that boasts plenty of rustic charm and atmosphere, as well as a handy location near the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club, as well as near Ainsdale Beach.
Inside the bar has been tastefully decorated, with exposed brick walls, smart wooden tables and hanging pendant light bulbs giving the restaurant a relaxed vibe. It’s an ideal location for occasions and parties, and there’s a projector available too, which often comes down for big televised sporting events.
The restaurant is open all-day, serving breakfast and brunch in the morning, sandwiches for lunch, and then a selection of small plates for dinner. Brunch involves your usual range of egg breakfasts (eggs Benedict, Royale or Florentine, as well as a full English, avocado on toast, grilled cheese sandwiches and more), and Tipple Bar also hosts bottomless brunch on Saturdays.
Stop in from 4:30 onwards and dig into a selection of small plates that includes red pepper hummus and pitta, halloumi fries, nachos, salt and pepper chicken and duck spring rolls. Freshly baked pizzas are available for dinner too, with toppings ranging from a classic margherita to a Hawaiian or a diavola of tomato, mozzarella, pepperoni, ‘nduja and fresh chilli.
There’s plenty more besides, including burgers, fish and chips and wraps, so there’s something for everyone here. The drinks list, meanwhile, includes a selection of spritz cocktails, as well as craft beers on draft and a good stock of wines and spirits.
