Yurt Bistro was founded with a belief that food can be both delicious and nourishing. All of the ingredients used on the menu are sourced locally, using trusted suppliers to guarantee dishes are packed full of freshness and high-quality flavours while supporting the local community. The menus also change with the seasons meaning the food on offer changes with guests' moods and seasonal needs.
At breakfast, you'll find fresh fruit smoothies, yoghurt, porridge with Zambian honey, the trending avocado on toast as well as larger options of a full English or omelette. For lunch and dinner, the menu is mainly a British affair with hints of a Mediterranean and seafood influence. Stand out dishes include the likes of classic steak tartare, beef fillet with garden vegetables and a rich beef jus as well as both risotto and pasta dishes. As a restaurant that prioritises an inclusive and intimate dining experience, the menu caters for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free diners and children.
The Yurt is situated in the grounds of Potton Hall, close to the spa, recording studio and cottages. The garden is open to the public throughout the year and, being on the doorstep of Dunwich forest, it is the perfect place to stop off after a long dog walk and enjoy a drink and some fresh, nutritious food. Designed as a traditional Yurt, the restaurant is unique, with wooden beams, wicker furniture, a wooden bar and traditional paintings adorning the walls.
Also offering afternoon tea, The Yurt is a peaceful setting to enjoy a glass of prosecco alongside finger sandwiches, mini cakes, truffles and traditional scones. Discover a host of unique twists too, such as a lemon and lavender scone topped with chilli jam and creme fraiche.
The friendly team are on hand to answer any questions and ensure every dining experience at The Yurt is packed with comfort and finery.
