Situated just off the Grove in beautiful Yorkshire town Ilkley’s charming town centre, The Vine is an independent traditional Italian restaurant serving a menu of classic dishes which you can only help but love.
Sitting on the first floor of a beautiful old stone building, The Vine feels tucked away from the rest of the town. Accessed up a set of stairs, the dining room is bright and spacious whilst still maintaining an air of class making The Vine a great destination for any occasion whether that is for a big family meal or a romantic dinner. Large windows look out over the rest of Ilkley and above your head is a series of white beams.
When it comes to the lengthy menu, you won’t be short of options to pick from. Starters vary from pan fried scallops served with crispy pancetta, roasted apples and celeriac puree, to crowd pleasers such as deep fried breaded camembert. Alternatively, you can have any of the long list of pasta mains as a starter size with options including lasagne, homemade ravioli and a seafood linguini.
For secondi main courses, The Vine’s menu includes a pan fried fillet of seabass, breaded chicken breast stuffed with mozzarella, ham, garlic and parmesan, or alternatively there is a selection of steaks available too. Dessert-wise, there are Italian classics like tiramisu on the menu as well as a few more British dishes such as sticky toffee pudding.
A decent wine list serves as a perfect accompaniment to the menu, with a particular focus of course on Italian wines but plenty of bottles from other areas of the world too. As well as a standard offering of beers and soft drinks, there are also some incredibly reasonably priced cocktails hiding at the bottom of the menu all of which cost just £5.
