An imposing, turreted mansion, The Torridon has got just about everything going for it. Set in 58 acres of parkland at the head of a magnificent sea loch, it boasts some of the best walking,
mountaineering, rock climbing & kayaking anywhere in the UK. Back in the hotel, there’s a restaurant dealing in top-quality seasonal dishes such as hand-dived Loch Ewe scallops served with
cauliflower purée, pickle reduction & wild rocket or roast saddle of Highland venison with braised red cabbage, rösti, beetroot & juniper jus. The Torridon also has its own inn by the
shores of the loch, where you can sip a dram or two & enjoy more traditional grub along the lines of smoked haddock & mackerel fishcakes or local sausages with creamy mash, bubble &
squeak, & onion gravy.
