Situated in the picturesque village of Stowting in Kent, The Tiger Inn is a cosy-meets-contemporary country pub serving a range of elegant, British-inspired dishes. The entire pub underwent a major refurb in 2021, resulting in a comfortable, classic and rustic aesthetic with a few quirky features here and there to inject personality into this local favourite. The restaurant and bar areas are crammed with cosy nooks and corners to sit back and relax with loved ones, whether that’s over a pint of craft beer or a seasonal meal of the best British gastro food.
Throughout the week, diners can choose from the main a la carte menu which includes an eclectic array of British-inspired dishes with global twists, all made with local and seasonal produce. The menu is divided into small bites, starters, ‘from the sea’, ‘from the land’, ‘from the grill’, sides and desserts. You might want to start with a charcuterie board of cured meats, Kentish cheeses, house pickles and sourdough bread to share, before embarking on a three-course feast featuring the likes of a paprika spiced scotch egg with roast garlic aioli, Kentish venison haunch with dauphinoise potato, braised red cabbage and glazed chicory, and a set chocolate torte with maple-glazed granola and blood orange sorbet to finish.
To drink, there is a strong selection of real ales, craft and draft beers, over 20 premium gins and a strong spirit list spanning whisky, rum, brandy and liqueurs. If you‘re after a fantastic wine to pair with your meal, there is a list of specially selected wines from across the globe that are sure to fit the bill.
For children under the age of 12, there is a special kids’ menu to suit younger tastebuds. While on Sundays, a more concise menu is available featuring some of the pub’s best dishes, as well Sunday roasts for die-hard traditionalists.
