Found in Wixford, a village in Warwickshire which is just one and a half miles south of Alcester, The Three Horseshoes is somewhere where you can enjoy the deliciousness of home cooked food, made by wonderfully skilled chefs. If you're visiting with a big group of your loved ones, why not order a selection of starters to kick off your meal? Try the baked camembert with toasted baguettes, butter, apple and ale chutney, or a dish of Texan BBQ - complete with gammon, smokey BBQ sauce, cheddar on top of dirty chunky chips. If nachos are your thing, enjoy them topped with tomato salsa, guacamole, sour cream, diced onions and jalapeno peppers. For singular starters, enjoy stuffed Portobello mushrooms with cheese, breadcrumb, herbs and garlic mayo, or lightly dusted whitebait served with tartare sauce and lemon wedges. For a healthy and delicious option, choose one of the salads, like the prawn Marie Rose salad with jumbo prawns, tomatoes, cucumber, crisp iceberg lettuce, lemon wedges and Marie Rose sauce.
On Sundays, enjoy a big roast. If you're vegan, order the vegan tart, butternut and sage parcel, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, glazed parsnips and stuffing. Of course, if you're a meat eater, then there are plenty of options on the menu, and you can even order additional bowls of Yorkshire puds or cauliflower cheese if you fancy it.
Desserts are definitely something worth enjoying at The Three Horseshoes. Try the homemade chocolate brownie served with vanilla custard or cream, a crumble of the day such as toffee apple, or a treacle sponge pudding.
