The Swan Inn in Chiswick has history dating back to 1871, but has been under new ownership since 2002. Striving to keep the pub a friendly atmosphere, the owners offer a Mediterranean inspired menu that has gained it some long standing customers over the years. In the winter, guests can snuggle up by the cosy fire, and come summertime, enjoy the beautiful garden. This stylish pub has beautiful Deco green tiles and wood panelling details, adding distinguishing features to a rustic yet sophisticated setting.
Each week, there is a wine of the week and a gin of the week, offering customers the chance to taste something new and special at great value. There's also an evening special on each menu, and you may just find something like a 28-day aged limousin-cross t-bone steak with hand cut chips, roast red onion, bearnaise and rocket.
Also on the menu, you'll find a prosciutto, speck, salami Milano and finocchiona dish made with mozzarella and slow roast tomato es, some grilled Tuscan sausages with mashed potatoes, red onion marmalade and red wine jus, and a delicious Gnocchi alla peperonata’, complete with peppers, tomatoes, olives, burrata and pesto.
There's also a great deal of cheese on the menu, and a lovely amount of desserts. When it comes to your sweet, you should try out some of the sorbet and ice cream collection. Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, ginger, pistachio, honeycomb, raspberry, passion fruit and lemon are just some of the delicious flavours that you will find on the menu.
Sunday roasts are served weekly, with mains of corn fed chicken, rump of beef, leg of lamb and sea bream fillet. Expect to find sides like roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds, glazed carrots and tenderstem broccoli, gratin Dauphinoise, and horseradish.
