The Royal Oak East Lavant

We booked through Square Meal and when we turned up at the restaurant the owner had no booking for us! Luckily, they were very helpful and could squeeze us in but we were literally squeezed between 2 parties, on a low table that reminded us of childrens' seating. We couldn't help feeling that we would have been better accommodated if the booking had been received. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful and the food very good. We had picked a very busy night for them with lots of steak orders. This meant that we waited over an hour for our main meal and became quite restless. Overall, we were very pleased we went and would like to try again on a better table on a less busy night
