Located on the fifth floor of the new luxury hotel ‘The Store’, the redevelopment of the iconic Boswell’s department store, The Roof at The Store offers a chic and elevated venue for both celebrations and social occasions. The venue also frequently hosts seasonal pop-ups providing hotels guests and the public with unexpected and exciting experiences. With sleek design features and cozy soft furnishings guests can enjoy a selection of the bar’s original cocktails alongside smoked and grilled dishes whilst enjoying views of Oxford’s picturesque architecture as well as the rolling countryside that is visible on the horizon.
The food menu is split between their grilled and smoked offerings, both of which are cooked right on the rooftop on their charcoal grill and smoker which they have charmingly called Bertha. Featuring dishes that vary from Baked Gambas and Panuozzo to American classic such as their signature smash burger, the grilled dishes are served alongside an ever-changing selection of smoked meats which are accompanied by hot melted cheese and a selection of condiments and sauces.
The Roof at The Store Oxford’s drinks menu showcases the rooftop’s own inventive Terrace Original Cocktails each inspired by the classic literature produced by former Oxford residents and university alumnus. These include cocktails such as the tequila-based Modern Education inspired by Brideshead Revisited. The rest of this exceptional drink's menu is extensive featuring a comprehensive selection of wines,champagnes,spirits and cocktails. This also includes a varied selection of whiskeys, cognac and brandies. Cocktails are made with The Store’s own bespoke vodka, rum and gin all of which are also available to purchase by guests.
